Dog Training – Newport, Oregon 97365

My family and I moved to Newport Oregon in 2005. I have three dogs: a Border Collie mix, A Dihuahua,(Dachshund Chihuahua mix) and an Australian Cattle Dog that really keeps me on my toes.

I have been working at the Lincoln County Animal Shelter as an Animal Care Specialist since 2008.

I have been teaching basic obedience to our shelter dogs to increase their adoptability since 2011.

I also evaluate our dogs with a modified Safer behavior evaluation prior to adoption. I introduce dogs to their prospective new owners and introduce the new owners to basic training techniques. I counsel them on behavior issues as well both pre and post adoption.

I act as a resource for the community when they call with frustrations regarding their canine companion.

I try to prevent customers from surrendering their pets unnecessarily. I thoroughly enjoy working with shelter animals and celebrate each adoption!
